CrossFit Brentwood Hills Staff

We have 4 coaches here, Nandor Tamaska, Jennifer Meade, Stephanie Allen and Nate Dodd. Our head coach, Nandor Tamaska, programs all of our workouts, and all of our coaches are at minimum CrossFit Level 1 certified. In each 60 minute class you will do a conditioning workout, a strength workout and a main workout, or WOD(Workout Of the Day) Each athlete is coached and trained to the level of physical and mental ability they possess for the workout at hand, while still being pushed to meet their specific goals.

    About Nandor Tamaska

    I started working out when I was 13-14 with my dad doing the traditional Monday Wednesday Friday, back and bis chest and tris and legs. I continued this way for the next 5 years. After high school, I joined the Marine Corps - this is when more of the "CrossFit" style was introduced to me. It was about moving your body as quickly as possible and being strong and mentally tough. There wasn't any program out there yet like CrossFit that showed you how to do it and why and when. So I was back at the gym, doing what I saw in the magazines. After 2 years active duty I returned to the civilian world with a love of being in the gym. So naturally I got a job at "Ropemans Fitness" in Doraville Ga. I didn't know it at the time but he trained pro athletes like Ray Rice, Shannon Sharp, Rodney Harrison, Hugh Douglas just to name a few. I became an intern to rope shadowing him, watching and learning. After a year I became an IFPA certified trainer and began training myself. I later would open my own studio and work with many different types of clients. All this time still the same concept of chest and tris back and bis legs. After 5 years of this I was invited to come out to my friend's "box" CrossFit East Decatur. I had to do push presses with 65# air squats and floor wipers. This destroyed me and that's when I knew CrossFit was the real deal! I went on to become CrossFit certified then my wife and I moved from our home town to Nashville to open our own CrossFit. The rest is what many of you all know now and love CrossFit Brentwood Hills!

    I'm originally from Fairfield, Ohio, attended Miami University, been a Nashvillian since March of 2011, in my 13th years working in the field of aging, and been at CFBH since October of 2012. In my spare time I hang out with my family, fur babies, dance, watch movie trailers, travel, take naps, cheer on the Titans (literally), track tornados because I think I'm a meteorologist, watch zombie movies, prepare my disaster backpacks, read my kindle, eat Chinese food, and enjoy a good draft beer.

    I’m from Upstate NY originally, I moved to Nashville in 2007 and caught on with a little startup, and the rest is history. In my spare time I want to be with my kids. I like anything to with smartphones/tablets, the Buffalo Bills, Syracuse Orange, wings, playing guitar and tinkering with audio recording.
